India is a country driven by agriculture and its byproducts. Majority of its population survive on farming and cattle breeding. Even though the country has been bestowed with the bounty of nature, lack of knowledge to make optimum use of its resources result in below average production in terms of quality and quantity. This adversely affects the quality of life of the inhabitants. Thus to improve the understanding of the resources and provide know-how for its adequate and efficient use, we have started with the Konkan Vikas Pratishthan for the farmers and inhabitants of the Konkan Belt.
We believe in the axiom “if you give a man
a fish, you’ll fill his stomach for one day,
but if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for
his life.” Thus taking the teaching from this
phrase, our endeavor towards the konkan region is
to train and to provide the elements that will build
an infrastructure ensuring the welfare of the konkan
region.
The Konkan Vikas Prathisthan carries out various activities
and events and operates various organizations under
this one banner. Some of them are as follows:
